The 3M™ cloth belt 777F measures 6" x 48" with 50 grit ceramic abrasive designed to protect heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys. It features a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures, and the abrasive is resin-bonded to the backing to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. Recommended for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings, this belt uses proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain blended with aluminum oxide to enhance toughness and hardness for harder, longer-lasting abrasive performance. Engineered for moderate to heavy stock removal, it cuts fast and withstands intense heat and stress applications, surpassing aluminum oxide abrasives in cut-rate and durability. The belts come in various widths and lengths to accommodate sanding of wood and metal with wide belts used for dimensioning or finishing wood panels and smoothing metal sheet edges, medium-width belts for sanding flat narrow surfaces like panel edges, and narrow belts suited for portable belt sanders on wood pieces such as cabinet doors. The 3M™ cloth belt 777F includes a film splice for added strength in high-pressure grinding applications. Warranty terms are provided by 3M as applicable.
