The 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F measures 1/2" x 18" and features a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and aluminum oxide for increased durability and cutting efficiency, suitable for moderate stock removal to finishing operations. It has a heavyweight cloth backing that supports high-pressure applications, works well on heat-sensitive metals, and can be used in wet or dry conditions. This belt protects against heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys, incorporating a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures, with abrasive bonded by resin to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. Recommended for use on stainless steel and other exotic metal alloys for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings, the proprietary ceramic abrasive grain enhances toughness and hardness, while the aluminum oxide blend increases performance, hardness, and longevity. Ceramic abrasives cut fast, handle intense heat and stress, and outperform aluminum oxide abrasives in cut-rate and durability, making the 777F ideal for moderate stock removal and surface preparation. These belts come in various widths and lengths to fit most industrial belt sanders, with wider belts used for wide belt sanders on wood panels or metal sheets, medium-width belts for edge sanders on flat, narrow surfaces, and narrow belts for portable belt sanders used in sanding or blending wood pieces.
