The 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F measures 1/2" x 18" and features a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and aluminum oxide for increased durability and cutting efficiency, suitable for moderate stock removal to finishing operations. It has a heavyweight cloth backing that supports high-pressure applications, works well on heat-sensitive metals, and can be used in wet or dry conditions. The belt is designed to protect heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys with a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures, while the abrasive is resin-bonded to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. Recommended for use on stainless steel and exotic metal alloys, it is ideal for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings. The proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain enhances toughness and hardness, and the aluminum oxide blend results in a harder, longer-lasting abrasive. This ceramic/aluminum oxide blend outperforms aluminum oxide abrasives in cut-rate and durability, making the 777F cloth belt excellent for moderate stock removal and surface preparation. The abrasive belts are available in various widths and lengths to fit most industrial belt sanders, with wider belts for wide belt sanders to dimension or finish wood panels and metal sheets, medium-width belts for edge sanders to sand flat narrow surfaces, and narrow belts for portable belt sanders suitable for sanding or blending.
