The 3M™ cloth belt 777F measures 1/4" x 24" and features a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and aluminum oxide, providing increased durability and cutting efficiency suitable for moderate stock removal to finishing operations. It has a heavyweight cloth backing that supports high-pressure applications, performs well on heat-sensitive metals, and can be used in both wet and dry conditions. The belt protects heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys through a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures, while the abrasive is resin-bonded to the backing to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. Recommended for use on stainless steel and exotic metal alloys, it is ideal for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings. The proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain enhances toughness and hardness, and the aluminum oxide blend provides a harder, longer-lasting abrasive that cuts fast and withstands intense heat and stress, surpassing standard aluminum oxide abrasives in cut-rate and durability. Available in various widths and lengths to fit most industrial belt sanders, wider belts serve wide belt sanders for dimensioning or finishing wood panels and smoothing metal sheet edges, medium-width belts suit edge sanders for flat, narrow surfaces, and narrow belts fit portable belt sanders for sanding or blending wood pieces.
