The 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F measures 1/2" x 18" and features a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and aluminum oxide for increased durability and cutting efficiency, suitable for moderate stock removal to finishing operations. It has a heavyweight cloth backing that supports high-pressure applications, works well on heat-sensitive metals, and can be used in wet or dry environments. The belt protects heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys with a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures, and the abrasive is resin-bonded to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. Recommended for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings, the proprietary 3M™ ceramic mineral grain enhances toughness and hardness, while the ceramic/aluminum oxide blend surpasses aluminum oxide abrasives in cut rate and durability. The abrasive belts are available in various widths and lengths to fit most industrial belt sanders and are suitable for sanding both wood and metal, with wider belts used for wide belt sanders on wood panels or metal sheets, medium-width belts for edge sanders on flat, narrow surfaces, and narrow belts for portable belt sanders.
