The 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F measures 2" x 60" and features P120 grit ceramic abrasive designed to protect against heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys by incorporating a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures. The abrasive is resin-bonded to the cloth backing to maintain durability under high heat and pressure, making it ideal for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings. The proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain enhances toughness and hardness, with an aluminum oxide blend for increased performance, resulting in a harder, longer-lasting abrasive suitable for moderate to heavy stock removal. These ceramic/aluminum oxide blended abrasives outperform traditional aluminum oxide in cut rate and durability and are engineered to cut fast while withstanding intense heat and stress. The belts are available in various widths and lengths to accommodate sanding both wood and metal, with options tailored for wide belt sanders, edge sanders, and portable belt sanders depending on the application, such as dimensioning wood panels, smoothing metal sheets, or finishing cabinet doors. The 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F uses a film splice for added strength during high-pressure grinding applications and offers multiple flexibility options, including an L-flex for enhanced conformity and softer touch during finishing and blending tasks.
