The 3M™ cloth belt 777F measures 3/4" x 18" and features a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and aluminum oxide for enhanced durability and cutting efficiency, suitable for moderate stock removal to finishing operations. It has a heavyweight cloth backing designed to support high-pressure applications and performs well on heat-sensitive metals in both wet and dry conditions. The belt protects against heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys by incorporating a grinding aid to reduce running temperatures, with the abrasive bonded to the backing by resin to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. Recommended for stainless steel and other exotic metal alloys, this belt is ideal for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings. The proprietary ceramic abrasive grain enhances toughness and hardness, while the blend with aluminum oxide provides a harder, longer-lasting abrasive capable of cutting fast and handling intense heat and stress. This ceramic/aluminum oxide combination outperforms standard aluminum oxide abrasives in both cut-rate and durability, making the 777F cloth belt an excellent choice for moderate stock removal and surface preparation. The abrasive belts are available in various widths and lengths to fit most industrial belt sanders, with wider belts suited for wide belt sanders on wood panels and metal sheets, medium-width belts for edge sanders on flat narrow surfaces, and narrow belts for portable belt sanders used in sanding or blending wood pieces.
