The 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F measures 3/4" x 20 1/2" and features a ceramic 60 grit abrasive. It combines 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain with aluminum oxide for enhanced toughness, hardness, durability, and cutting efficiency, making it suitable for moderate stock removal to finishing operations. The belt has a heavyweight cloth backing designed to support high-pressure applications and works effectively on heat-sensitive metals, including stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys, in both wet and dry environments. It incorporates a grinding aid to reduce running temperatures and uses a resin bond to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. Ideal for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings, this belt is engineered to cut fast and withstand intense heat and stress. The ceramic/aluminum oxide blend offers superior cut rate and durability compared to standard aluminum oxide abrasives. Available in various widths and lengths to fit most industrial belt sanders, the 3M Cloth Belt 777F can be used on wide belt sanders for processing wood panels and metal sheets, edge sanders for flat, narrow surfaces, and portable belt sanders for sanding or blending wood pieces.
