The 3M™ cloth belt 777F measures 3-1/2" x 15-1/2" and features a 50 grit ceramic abrasive designed to protect against heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys. It includes a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures and has the abrasive bonded to the backing with resin to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. This belt is recommended for use on stainless steel and other exotic metal alloys for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings. The proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain enhances toughness and hardness, and the product features a ceramic/aluminum oxide blend for increased performance, hardness, and longevity. Ceramic abrasives cut fast and handle intense heat and stress, making this belt suitable for moderate to heavy stock removal and surface preparation. Available in various widths and lengths, the belts fit most industrial belt sanders: wider belts are used with wide belt sanders for dimensioning or finishing wood panels and smoothing metal sheet edges; medium widths fit edge sanders for flat or narrow surfaces such as panel edges; narrow belts are used with portable belt sanders for blending or sanding wood pieces like cabinet doors.
