The 3M™ cloth belt 777F measures 3-1/2" x 15-1/2" with P120 grit ceramic abrasive designed to protect against heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys. It features a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures and a resin bond that maintains durability under high heat and pressure. This belt is recommended for use on stainless steel and exotic metal alloys for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings. The proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain enhances toughness and hardness, and the belt incorporates an aluminum oxide and ceramic abrasive grain blend for increased performance, offering a harder and longer-lasting abrasive suitable for moderate to heavy stock removal and surface preparation. Ceramic abrasives cut fast and handle intense heat and stress applications, surpassing traditional aluminum oxide abrasives in cut rate and durability. Available in various widths and lengths to fit most industrial belt sanders, the belts accommodate sanding wood and metal surfaces; wider belts suit wide belt sanders for dimensioning or finishing wood panels and smoothing metal edges, medium-width belts fit onto edge sanders for flat, narrow surfaces, and narrow belts are used with portable belt sanders for sanding or blending wood pieces. The 777F comes with a film splice for added strength under high-pressure grinding applications.
