The 3M™ cloth belt 777F measures 3/4" x 18" and features a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and aluminum oxide, providing increased durability and cutting efficiency suitable for moderate stock removal to finishing operations. It has a heavyweight cloth backing that supports high-pressure applications and performs well on heat-sensitive metals, usable in both wet and dry conditions. The belt protects against heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys by incorporating a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures, while the abrasive is resin-bonded to the backing to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. Recommended for use on stainless steel and exotic metal alloys, it is ideal for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings. The proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain enhances toughness and hardness, and the aluminum oxide blend increases performance, resulting in a harder, longer-lasting abrasive suitable for moderate to heavy stock removal. Ceramic/aluminum oxide abrasives outperform standard aluminum oxide in cut-rate and durability, making this cloth belt excellent for surface preparation. The belts come in various widths and lengths to accommodate sanding of both wood and metal, fitting most industrial belt sanders, with wider belts for wide belt sanders to dimension or finish wood panels and metal sheets, medium-width belts for edge sanders sanding flat, narrow surfaces, and narrow belts for portable belt sanders for sanding or blending small wood pieces.
