Pyrex® Spinbar® glass encapsulated Alnico magnet stirring bars are designed for high temperature applications, withstanding temperatures up to 274°C (525°F). These stirring bars feature a completely smooth surface that promotes "zero absorption" and makes cleaning easy. They meet US Pharmacopeia specifications for Type I borosilicate glass and are manufactured in a registered ISO 9001:2015 facility, verified by SGS certification. The stirring bars are autoclave safe, ensuring compatibility with sterilization processes. It is important to handle Pyrex glass stirbars with care; they should be carefully placed in the bottom of the stirring vessel to prevent breakage, rather than being dropped.
