Heavy duty bars are designed for use in stirring large volumes of fluid with large magnetic stirring machines such as the Cool Stir large volume stirrer, H37028-0001, or other comparable machines. These stirring bars fit into vessels with a minimum neck diameter of 32 mm and feature a multi-faceted surface that enhances turbulence compared to similar-sized smooth cylindrical stirring bars. Each bar contains an Alnico magnet that is encapsulated in FDA grade, USP Class VI Teflon® brand PTFE coating, providing superior chemical compatibility. The manufacturing process occurs in a registered ISO 9001:2015 facility, verified by SGS certification, and the bars are autoclave safe.
