The high-quality Teflon encapsulated magnetic stirring bars ensure efficient mixing with consistent results. Their multi-faceted polygon shape increases surface area, creating added turbulence relative to similarly sized smooth cylindrical bars for thorough mixing. The absence of a pivot ring allows the spinbar to remain close to the bottom of the vessel, enabling the "scraping" of solids. These stirring bars optimally couple with magnetic spindrives as the entire length of the stir bar maintains close contact. They feature an Alnico magnet encapsulated in FDA grade, USP Class VI Teflon® brand PTFE coating, offering superior chemical compatibility. Additionally, they are manufactured in a registered ISO 9001:2015 facility, as verified by SGS certification, and are autoclave safe.
