Used in conjunction with a magnetic stirring plate, SpinBar® stir bars create uniform, consistent, and thorough mixing of chemical solutions. The contoured egg shape is ideal for use in round-bottom vessels and flasks, ensuring complete mixing while offering minimal contact when used in plastic containers to reduce scraping. The egg shape provides a pivot point without a separate ring or abrupt change in contour for smoother mixing. Each stir bar features an Alnico magnet encapsulated in FDA grade, USP Class VI Teflon® brand PTFE coating, ensuring superior chemical compatibility. The magnets are egg-shaped for more uniform strength throughout the bar, except for the three smallest sizes which have a cylindrical magnet. SpinBar® stir bars are manufactured in a facility registered to ISO 9001:2015, as verified by SGS certification, and are autoclave safe.
