Used in conjunction with a magnetic stirring plate, Spinbar® stir bars create uniform, consistent, and thorough mixing of chemical solutions. The contoured egg shape is ideal for use in round-bottom vessels/flasks, ensuring complete mixing, offering minimal contact when used in plastic containers, and minimizing scraping. This egg shape provides a pivot point without a separate ring or abrupt change in contour for smoother mixing. Each stir bar features an alnico magnet encapsulated in FDA grade, USP Class VI Teflon® brand PTFE coating for superior chemical compatibility. The magnets are egg-shaped for more uniform strength throughout the bar, with the exception that the three smallest sizes have a cylindrical magnet. These stir bars are manufactured in a registered ISO 9001:2015 facility, as verified by SGS certification, and are autoclave safe.
