Octagon magnetic stirring bars with an integral pivot ring are designed for superior performance and are the most commonly used shape in laboratories. Each pack contains one size of stirring bar, featuring an Alnico magnet encapsulated in FDA-grade, USP Class VI Teflon® brand PTFE coating, which ensures excellent chemical compatibility. The interrupted profile of the stirring bars provides a greater surface area and added turbulence, enhancing mixing efficiency compared to the smooth surface of cylindrical bars. The pivot ring is specifically designed to reduce friction and chattering during operation. These stirring bars are autoclavable and manufactured in a registered ISO 9001:2015 facility, as verified by SGS certification.
