Used in conjunction with a magnetic stirring plate, Spinbar® stir bars create uniform, consistent, and thorough mixing of chemical solutions. The contoured egg shape is ideal for use in round-bottom vessels and flasks, ensuring complete mixing while offering minimal contact when used in plastic containers and minimizing scraping. The egg shape provides a pivot point without a separate ring or abrupt change in contour for smoother mixing. Each stir bar features an Alnico magnet encapsulated in FDA grade, USP Class VI Teflon® brand PTFE coating, which ensures superior chemical compatibility. The magnets are egg-shaped for more uniform strength throughout the bar, with the exception of the three smallest sizes, which contain a cylindrical magnet. Manufactured in a registered ISO 9001:2015 facility, as verified by SGS certification, the stir bars are also autoclave safe.
