The G1562HTR-HAT portable eyewash/drench hose unit is designed to meet the ANSI Z358.1-2014 requirements for emergency eyewash and shower equipment by delivering tepid water between 60° and 100°F (15.5°- 37.8° C). This electrically heated and insulated unit is ideal for environments with ambient temperatures that may fall below the tepid range and includes a heating system that protects against freezing. It uses air pressure to deliver 10 gallons (37.5L) of water for 15 minutes, suitable for low hazard areas lacking a continuous water supply. For installation, the unit can be placed anywhere hazards are present after filling with clean potable water and adding a bacteriostatic additive, which inhibits bacterial growth. The unit is conveniently mounted on a two-wheel hand truck featuring a painted steel frame and rubber wheels for mobility. A silicone drum heater maintains water temperature, operating at a thermostat set to 65° F (18.3° C) and requiring a 15 amp, 120V power supply. The unit is insulated with a high visibility orange waterproof nylon jacket to retain heat and resist mildew. The stainless steel tank has a maximum capacity of 15 gallons (56 liters) and is equipped with built-in carrying handles, an air intake valve, a pressure gauge, and a relief valve. The unit is furnished with a 9 ft. cord and a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) plug with a manual reset feature.
