Justrite® PetroPad™ Smart Polymer Spill Pads are designed to absorb and permanently solidify hydrocarbons such as oil, diesel, and gas. The large PetroPad™ model 83986 measures 35-13/16 in W x 5/8 in D x 53-7/8 in H (91 cm W x 1.6 cm D x 137 cm H) with a capacity of up to 5.3 gal (20.2 L). It is reusable, portable, washable, and easy to dispose of, making it a flexible and cost-efficient solution for the safe handling and disposal of hazardous hydrocarbon waste. The design allows rainwater to flow through while solidifying hydrocarbons into a non-toxic solid, thus reducing environmental pollution. The PetroPad™ is compliant with the TCLP leachate test and the EPA paint filter test (9095B). Utilizing a smart polymer embedded in a geotextile fabric, the pad quickly absorbs and solidifies hydrocarbons while trapping pollutants inside, preventing uncontaminated water from passing through it. This feature minimizes pollution volume and hazardous waste for disposal. The PetroPad™ is robustly constructed to withstand rough handling and treatment, and it can be easily cleaned by pressure washing.
