The Justrite® Sure-Grip® EX Compact Safety Cabinet with a self-close door (Model 891520) is designed for the safe and code-compliant storage of solvents and flammable liquids, including aerosols, cleaners, and degreasers, on countertops and workbenches. With exterior dimensions of 44 in H x 23.25 in W x 18 in D (1118 mm H x 591 mm W x 457 mm D), this yellow cabinet provides a portable storage solution that can hold up to 15 gal (57 L) of flammable liquids. Its construction features a robust 18-gauge (1-mm) thick steel double-wall design, with 1.5 in (38 mm) of insulating air space to enhance fire resistance. The fully welded design ensures longevity and fire protection by reducing air gaps. The cabinet includes a high-performance, self-closing door that opens to 140 degrees and utilizes a patented concealed self-close mechanism for unobstructed access to shelf space, while continuous piano hinges guarantee smooth closure. Under fire conditions, the self-closing doors automatically shut when the ambient temperature reaches 165 F (74 C) due to fusible links that hold the doors open under tension. The self-latching system features three stainless steel bullet-slams located at the door's top, bottom, and center for secure closure. It is equipped with a U-Loc™ handle that simplifies engagement of the mandatory latch without manual rotation, and the cabinet includes a cylinder lock and key set or can accommodate a user-supplied padlock.
