The Justrite® Sure-Grip® EX Piggyback Safety Cabinet with manual close doors (Model 891700) is engineered for the safe storage and segregation of flammable liquids in laboratory, construction, or engineering environments. It features exterior dimensions of 24 in H x 43 in W x 18 in D (610 mm H x 1092 mm W x 457 mm D), allowing for the expansion of available storage by 17 gal (64 L) while minimizing floor space usage. The cabinet can be used independently on bench tops or stacked atop 30 or 45 gal (114/170 L) Justrite® safety cabinets and can also be wall-mounted with an optional wall hanger assembly (Model 25950). This model is constructed from robust 18-gauge (1-mm) thick steel with a double-wall design and 1.5 in (38 mm) of insulating air space for enhanced fire resistance. Its fully welded construction ensures longevity and improves fire protection by reducing air gaps. The high-performance, manual-close, self-latching doors feature fail-safe, 3-point stainless steel latches that open to a full 180 degrees and securely close when pushed, while continuous piano hinges facilitate smooth door operation. Each cabinet is equipped with an innovative U-Loc™ handle that simplifies engagement of the mandatory latch without manual rotation and includes a cylinder lock and key set, or a user-supplied padlock can be utilized. The Haz-Alert™ reflective warning labels, reading "Flammable Keep Fire Away," maintain visibility in low-light conditions during power outages. Model 891700 also features a patented galvanized steel SpillSlope® shelf that directs spills into a 2-in (51-mm) leak-tested sump in compliance with EPA requirements. The shelf is adjustable on 3-in (76-mm) centers, meets ANSI MH28.1 standards, and supports a safe allowable load of 350-lb (159-kg), with welded shelf hangers providing maximum stability.
