One of the leading causes of industrial fires is the improper storage and handling of flammable liquids. The Justrite Standard Sure-Grip® EX flammable safety cabinet with manual close doors (model 899000) is designed to safely store flammable liquids. Its exterior dimensions are 65 in H x 43 in W x 34 in D (1651 mm H x 1092 mm W x 864 mm D) and can store 90 gal (341 L) of flammable liquids. This model is constructed with a sturdy 18-gauge (1-mm) thick steel double-wall, featuring 1.5 in (38 mm) of insulating air space for fire resistance. The fully welded, not riveted, construction maintains the squareness of the unit for a longer lifespan and provides greater protection in a fire by reducing air gaps. High-performance, manual-close, self-latching doors with a fail-safe, 3-point stainless steel mechanism open to a full 180 degrees and close securely when pushed shut. Continuous piano hinges ensure smooth closing of the doors. For added security, each cabinet is equipped with a U-Loc™ handle that does not require manual rotation to engage the mandatory latch, along with a cylinder lock and key set or the option to use your own padlock. The cabinet comes with trilingual Haz-Alert™ reflective warning labels stating "Flammable Keep Fire Away," which remain visible under fire conditions or during power outages when illuminated. Model 899000 features two patented, galvanized steel SpillSlope® shelves designed to direct spills to the back and bottom into a 2-in (51-mm) leak-tested sump that meets EPA requirements. These shelves are adjustable on 3-in (76-mm) centers and meet ANSI MH28.1 standards with a 350-lb (159-kg) safe allowable load. Welded shelf hangers interlock with the shelf for maximum stability, eliminating the risk of losing any flimsy brackets. For replacement shelves, use model 29945. Additional features include dual vents with flame arresters and four adjustable self-leveling feet, ensuring proper usage and compliance with safety standards.
