The Kohler® Command Pro® is a commercial-grade, 4-cycle gasoline engine featuring an OHV design with a cast iron cylinder liner and aluminum block, offering a robust solution for professional applications. This engine is equipped with a Quad-Clean™ all-season four-stage cyclonic air filter for effective engine protection in harsh conditions, and a large-capacity metal fuel tank to minimize downtime for refueling. It supports both powering and repowering of equipment without the need for costly modifications. Key attributes include an OHV slant cylinder, forged-steel crankshaft, electronic ignition, and a large-capacity muffler with a heat shield and spark arrestor. The engine is CARB Tier 3 certified and boasts increased displacement with a balance shaft (14 HP), dual ball bearings, and dual oil fills and drains. Safety and efficiency features comprise an automatic low oil engine shutdown system, a Stellite®-faced exhaust valve, a carbon canister fuel cap, and a water trap to separate moisture in fuel. The swirl-induction combustion chamber, easy-access throttle, choke, and fuel shutoff, along with an automatic compression release and mechanical governor, contribute to its performance. Additional specifications include a sound-deadened alloy crankcase, carburetor bowl drain, high-inertia flywheel, silenced air intake, and an indexable Easy-Pull™ recoil starter, complemented by a Fuel Secure™ auto fuel shutoff for basic recoil specs only.
