The short block for Kohler® engine models KT715-KT740 is designed based on the Kohler® Command Pro® commercial engine design, featuring an air-cooled, V-Twin 7000 series engine. It includes a pro performance filtration package that enhances air, oil, and fuel filter capacity for increased protection. The engine utilizes pressure lubrication to prolong its life by ensuring critical components remain well lubricated. With Smart-Choke™ technology, it reliably starts in both hot and cold conditions, even at temperatures below freezing, eliminating the need for manual choking at any throttle position. The Consistent-Cut™ technology ensures cleaner cuts by maintaining engine speed in challenging mowing conditions. This engine is a consumer-grade, four-cycle, twin-cylinder, air-cooled, vertical shaft, gasoline-powered OHV unit, featuring a cast iron liner.
