The Kohler® Command Pro® commercial engine is a robust, 4-cycle, gasoline-powered unit designed for professional applications, featuring an overhead valve (OHV) slant cylinder with a cast iron cylinder liner and an aluminum block. It includes a Quad-Clean™ All-Season Four-Stage Cyclonic Air Filter for effective engine protection in challenging conditions, a large-capacity metal fuel tank to minimize downtime, and a heavy-duty cyclonic air cleaner. The engine is equipped with electronic ignition, a large-capacity muffler with a heat shield and spark arrestor, and three fuel filters located at the fill neck, in-tank, and carburetor inlet. It meets CARB Tier 3 certification and offers increased displacement, a balance shaft (14 HP), dual ball bearings, and a steel-forged, hardened crankshaft. Additional features include dual oil fills and drains, an automatic low oil engine shutdown system, a Stellite®-faced exhaust valve, carbon canister fuel cap, water trap for moisture separation in fuel, and a swirl-induction combustion chamber. The engine is designed with easy-access throttle, choke, and fuel shutoff, an automatic compression release, mechanical governor, and a sound-deadening alloy crankcase. Other specifications feature a carburetor bowl drain, high-inertia flywheel, silenced air intake, and an indexable Easy-Pull™ recoil starter, as well as a Fuel Secure™ auto fuel shutoff for enhanced operational safety.
