This smart padlock is equipped with dual intelligent proximity and historical access tracing technologies (NFC, Bluetooth + cloud-based) that offer enhanced security and traceability compared to traditional keyed or combination locks. The padlock supports multiple access methods, allowing users to unlock it by simply pressing the shackle and tapping it with an EgeeTouch® NFC tag, using any Bluetooth paired smartphone (compatible with Apple and Android), or via Apple Watch and Samsung Gear S2/3. It operates in extreme temperatures ranging from -4°F to +140°F (-20°C to 60°C) and offers superior access security with shared access and audit trails for remote authentication. Users can assign and delete access for new or old individuals, set timed-access features, and utilize the EgeeTouch® app for lock access, programming tags, and managing lock information. The access management control allows lock owners to restrict access based on specific times or frequencies, making it ideal for commercial environments. An audit trail helps track and validate access time, date, and location for multiple users, while the rechargeable battery lasts for 7,000 lock/unlock cycles per charge. Additionally, a patented security feature prevents unauthorized access to the battery compartment while the padlock is engaged.
