The ESD hard sole boot with ground ribbons is specifically designed for mobile users in controlled environments that prioritize static control. The Transforming Technologies TX4000 ESD cleanroom garment system protects the controlled environment from the primary source of contamination and static in cleanrooms: people. Electrostatic charge, which is an unseen contaminant, has the potential to degrade or destroy both products and equipment while attracting unwanted particles. Maintaining control over these charges on mobile operators with the TX4000 garment system is essential for a productive manufacturing process. The boots feature TX4000 ESD grid fabric composed of 99% polyester and 1% carbon, a PSTAT ESD hard sole with twill reinforcement, and a Hypalon side wall. They include a combination of 1" elastic and webbing at the top of the closure with snap adjustment, a replaceable 18" internal ground ribbon attachment (with a 24" long ground ribbon available for boots), and internal snaps for electrical connection to the coverall and ground ribbon. The color-coded straps denote size, and the boots are reusable and launderable. The system complies with ISO cleanroom standards ISO 6 (Class 1000) and meets ANSI/ESD S20.20 and STM9.1 standards for footwear resistive characterization.
