The TN-400 abrasive tube notcher is designed for precise coping of thin wall tubing, featuring a self-centering vise that ensures accurate belt positioning. This machine is manufactured in the USA and powered by a robust 3 HP motor operating on 220-volt single-phase power. It is ideal for coping the ends of tubing or pipe with an outer diameter ranging from 3/4" to 2". The notcher can create angles up to 60° and is equipped with a 79" x 4" belt that spins at an impressive speed of 5420 feet per minute. Its V-block design of the vise jaws keeps the material centered in relation to the notching spindle for stable and secure operation. The vise carriage utilizes a smooth Thompson® shaft assembly during the notching cycle for enhanced performance. A pivoted control lever efficiently presses the material against the belt, while a quick-change tooling system allows for the mandrel to be swapped out in seconds. The notcher comes standard with a 1-1/4" pipe mandrel, ensuring versatility and ease of use.
