Laguna Tools introduces the KX:24, a CNC machine specifically designed for both beginners and hobbyists, featuring a 24" x 48" work area. This machine is equipped with a 15.1" touchscreen display that provides a user-friendly graphical interface, eliminating the need for an external computer. The KX:24 includes a standard ultra-quiet air-cooled electro spindle, adjustable from 0 to 24,000 RPM, suitable for machining a variety of materials such as wood, plastic, and non-ferrous metals. The machine also features integrated T-slots and MDF spoil boards for versatile hold-down options, along with capabilities for 2D and 3D cutting, carving, and shaping. Standard specifications include 5-1/2" Z axis travel, a 1 HP electro spindle with an ER11 collet, a maximum tooling shaft of 1/4", a RPM range of 6000-24,000, five table T-slots, a replaceable MDF work surface, 3-axis ball screw movements, dual drive on Y-axis, 3-axis prismatic linear guides, and automatic tool touch-off. The weight of the machine is 188 lb. (without the optional stand). Optional accessories available for the KX:24 include a machine stand with built-in accessory drawers, an overhead dust collection system with a flexible collection hose and overhead arm, a brushed dust shoe for the spindle, a hold down clamp set, an LED lamp kit controlled by the touchscreen, and a laser engraving accessory kit.
