The Merit chrome plated brass pipe fitting is a 1/4 tee NPT female designed for low pressure applications involving water, oil, and gas (W.O.G.). The fittings have pressure ratings of 125 PSI for steam and 200 PSI for W.O.G., complying with ANSI B 1.20.1 and ANSI B 16.15 standards. They provide superior corrosion resistance, and their relative softness facilitates easy installation and ensures a tight seal. Chrome plated brass fittings are preferred for their easy-to-clean surface, which does not attract dirt and bacteria while maintaining a shiny finish. However, due to the presence of lead, these fittings cannot be installed for potable water use in the U.S.A. and its territories.
