The Merit chrome plated brass pipe fitting, measuring 1/2 x 3/8 inches, is a reducing coupling with NPT female threads designed for low pressure applications involving water, oil, and gas (W.O.G.). It features a pressure rating of 125 PSI for steam and 200 PSI for W.O.G., complying with ANSI B 1.20.1 and ANSI B 16.15 standards. The chrome plating provides superior corrosion resistance, ease of cleaning, resistance to dirt and bacteria attraction, and maintains a shiny finish. The brass material's relative softness enables easy installation and ensures a tight seal. This fitting contains lead and is therefore not permitted by federal law for potable water use in the U.S.A. and its territories.
