The Merit chrome plated brass pipe fitting is a 1 x 1/2 x 3/4 reducing tee with NPT female connections, designed for use in low-pressure applications involving water, oil, and gas (W.O.G.). This fitting has pressure ratings of 125 PSI for steam and 200 PSI for W.O.G., complying with ANSI B 1.20.1 and ANSI B 16.15 standards. Its construction provides superior corrosion resistance, and the relative softness of the material facilitates easy installation and ensures a tight seal. The chrome plated finish makes these fittings easy to clean, resistant to attracting dirt and bacteria, and capable of maintaining a shiny appearance. However, it should be noted that these fittings contain lead and are prohibited by federal law from being installed for potable water use in the U.S.A. and its territories.
