The formed smooth edge around the top and pouring lip enhances safety and strength, while extended sides prevent side-wise scattering of material. The stacking feature allows for stacking of empty hoppers. The package includes a strong, easy-to-operate latching mechanism and a safety chain that wraps around the mast of the forklift to prevent the hopper from coming off the forks.
