The 3M™ Versaflo™ TR-800 motor/blower with the TR-830 battery pack is intrinsically safe (IS) equipment designed for hazardous locations, tested and classified by Underwriters Laboratory (UL) for intrinsic safety (Ex ia) with approvals including Ex ia Division 1: IS Class I, II, III; Division 1 (includes Division 2), Groups C, D, E, F, G; T4; Ex ia I Ma; Class I, Zone 0, AEx ia IIB, T4; Class I, Zone 0, Ex ia IIB, T4; Zone 20, AEx ia IIIC, T135; Zone 20, Ex ia IIIC, T135 with an operating temperature range from -20°C to 55°C. The package comes in assemblies or ready-to-use kits including the TR-800 blower and the TR-830 battery pack, offering a PAPR system approved by NIOSH for Division I usage for Classes I, II, and III per the UL 60079, 6th edition (2013) standard. The battery includes a bumper for impact absorption and mechanical attachment to prevent removal during use. The TR-800 provides personalized protection with color-coded touch points, multiple airflow rates, audible and visual alarms that signal low battery and low air flow, and bright yellow details distinguishing it from non-IS 3M models. It is compatible with a wide variety of filters and cartridges suited for multiple industries and applications, supporting environments with combustible gases or pharmaceutical compound handling.
