The 4ft wide ducted fume hood features two 6" OD exhaust collars and requires an external blower for operation. The Air Science® PURAIR® ducted basic fume hood is an exterior-venting exhaust hood designed to protect personnel from exposure to hazardous agents and toxic chemicals, suitable for applications generating high volumes of volatile organic compounds, toxic chemicals, gases, or powders on the work surface. Utilizing an external ducting system, the air intake face velocity can be adjusted to balance conditioned room air conservation with the necessary volume of exhausted contaminated air. The unit is constructed with a chemical-resistant epoxy coated steel frame and offers 360-degree visibility to protect the operator from fume hazards.
