The Merit chrome plated brass schedule 40 nipple measures 1/8 x 4 NPT male and is manufactured from seamless red brass pipe, alloy 230. This chrome plated red brass nipple provides excellent machinability, resilience, and corrosion resistance compared to yellow brass, as it will not dezincify. Brass offers good resistance against water and heat, as well as protection from salt water, acids, minerals, and peaty soils in water.
