The Merit Brass 250 lb lead-free fitting is a 2" coupling with NPT female threads designed for low pressure applications involving water, oil, and gas (W.O.G.). These fittings have pressure ratings of 125 psi for steam and 200 psi for W.O.G., complying with ANSI B 1.20.1 and ANSI B 16.15 standards. Constructed from red brass, the fittings offer superior corrosion resistance compared to yellow brass, and their relative softness facilitates easy installation and ensures a tight seal. They are primarily used for water in commercial plumbing and OEM applications, but are also suitable for oil, gas, and steam applications.
