The Merit Brass 125 lb lead free fitting 2-1/2" cap NPT female is made of red brass, suitable for low pressure applications involving water, oil, and gas (W.O.G.). It has a pressure rating of 125 psi for steam and 200 psi for water, oil, and gas. The fitting complies with ANSI B 1.20.1 and ANSI B 16.15 standards, offering superior corrosion resistance compared to yellow brass. The relative softness of the material allows for easy installation and a tight seal. These brass fittings are primarily used for water in commercial plumbing and OEM applications, as well as in oil, gas, and steam systems.
