The Merit Brass 125 lb lead free fitting is a 1-1/2" x 1-1/4" hex bushing with NPT male x female threads. Made from red brass, these fittings are suitable for low pressure applications involving water, oil, and gas (W.O.G.). They have pressure ratings of 125 psi for steam and 200 psi for W.O.G., conforming to ANSI B 1.20.1 and ANSI B 16.15 standards. The red brass material provides superior corrosion resistance compared to yellow brass, and its relative softness allows for easy installation and a tight seal. These brass fittings are primarily used for water in commercial plumbing and OEM applications, but are also applicable in oil, gas, and steam systems.
