The Merit Brass 125 lb lead free fitting 2-1/2" square head cored plug NPT female is made of red brass and is designed for low pressure applications involving water, oil, and gas (W.O.G.). This fitting has pressure ratings of 125 psi for steam and 200 psi for water, oil, and gas and complies with ANSI B 1.20.1 and ANSI B 16.15 standards. It offers superior corrosion resistance compared to yellow brass, with a relative softness that facilitates easy installation and a tight seal. These brass fittings are primarily used for water in commercial plumbing and OEM applications but are also suitable for oil, gas, and steam service.
