The Merit Brass 250 lb lead free fitting is a 1/4" tee NPT female made of red brass, suitable for low pressure applications involving water, oil, and gas (W.O.G.). These fittings have pressure ratings of 125 psi for steam and 200 psi for water, oil, and gas, and comply with ANSI B 1.20.1 and ANSI B 16.15 standards. The red brass construction provides superior corrosion resistance compared to yellow brass, and its relative softness facilitates easy installation and a tight seal. This fitting is primarily used for water in commercial plumbing and OEM applications but is also appropriate for oil, gas, and steam applications.
