The OHAUS® Guardian 3000™ hotplate stirrers are designed for economical heating and stirring in laboratory settings, featuring a bright backlit LCD display that shows temperature and speed settings with intuitive icons, a prominent hot top indicator that lights up when the heater exceeds 40° C, and green indicator lights signaling when the unit is heating and stirring. The units support stirring speeds from 80 to 1600 rpm and operate within an ambient temperature range of +5° C up to 500° C for ceramic tops or 380° C for ceramic-coated steel tops. The kit includes a power cord, and stirring models come with a PTFE-coated stir bar. The construction consists of a durable metal housing with a PET front panel, control knobs, an on/off switch for heater disconnect, a built-in support rod holder, and easy-to-clean ceramic or ceramic-coated stainless steel tops. The unit also has a temperature probe connector for use with an optional temperature probe to allow precise temperature control of samples. It is available in three plate sizes to suit various applications such as boiling liquids, water/oil bath preparation, sample and solution preparation, dissolving buffers and reagents, preparing media, and concentrating samples. Certified for laboratory use, the product includes a hot top indicator light designed to protect the user and a single point calibration icon.
