OHAUS® Guardian 7000 hotplate stirrers are engineered for exceptional safety and superior heating and mixing performance, featuring a chemical-resistant SmartHousing™ with an easy-to-clean design that channels spills away from internal components and an angled glass control panel. The bright backlit LCD display shows temperature, speed, and time settings with intuitive icons, including SmartRate™, SmartHeat™, SmartPresence™, SmartLink™, probe in use, and single point calibration indicators, along with green lights for heating and stirring and two prominent hot top indicator lights. The unit operates with a timer, stirring speeds from 60 to 1600 rpm, and a temperature range of ambient +5°C to 500°C for ceramic tops or 380°C for aluminum tops. The kit includes a power cord, an 8" (20.3 cm) stainless steel RTD temperature probe, a 1-1/2" (3.8 cm) PTFE coated stir bar, and an in-use cover. Communication is enabled via a USB port for programming repeat applications and enhancing safety with SmartLink™ technology, and it supports a long-range user detection function with the OHAUS® Bluetooth dongle accessory (sold separately). The construction features a probe connection, a SmartHousing™ that remains cool to the touch and is chemical-resistant, IP21 ingress protection, a hardened glass front panel, control knobs, an on/off switch for heater disconnect, a built-in support rod holder, and easy-to-clean ceramic or aluminum tops. Additional design features include hot top indicator lights, an audible alarm, and SmartHeat™ temperature limiting functionality.
