OHAUS® Guardian 7000 hotplate stirrers are designed with outstanding safety features and superior heating and mixing performance. The kit includes the Smarthousing™, which is chemical resistant with an innovative, easy-to-clean design that channels spills away from internal components and the angled glass control panel. It features a bright backlit LCD display with intuitive icons for temperature, speed, and time settings, green indicator lights when the unit is heating and stirring, two prominent hot top indicator lights, and icons for Smartrate™, Smartheat™, Smartpresence™, Smartlink™, probe in use, and single point calibration. The unit operates with a timer, stirring speeds adjustable from 60 to 1600 rpm, and a temperature range from ambient +5° C up to 500° C for the ceramic top or 380° C for the aluminum top. Included components are a power cord, an 8" (20.3 cm) stainless steel RTD temperature probe, a 1-1/2" (3.8 cm) PTFE coated stir bar, and an in-use cover. Communication capabilities include a USB port for programming repeat applications and enhancing safety with Smartlink™ technology; the long-range user detection function operates with an OHAUS® Bluetooth dongle accessory (sold separately). The construction features a probe connection, an IP21 ingress protection rated Smarthousing™ that stays cool to the touch and is chemical-resistant, a hardened glass front panel, control knobs, an on/off switch for heater disconnect, a built-in support rod holder, and easy-to-clean ceramic or aluminum tops. Design features include hot top indicator lights, an audible alarm, and Smartheat™ temperature limiting functionality.
