The 1,300-pound heavy-duty cast iron planer is engineered for rock-solid rigidity and precision planing, ensuring durability and accuracy for years of use. It features a hinged top for easy access to the rollers and knives, complemented by a 5" dust port for seamless attachment to any dust collection system. The helical cutterhead is designed with 150 four-sided knife inserts, delivering a superior finish and quieter operation compared to conventional cutterheads, with inserts that require no further adjustments. For enhanced performance, anti-kickback fingers and a pressure bar are strategically positioned near the cutterhead, while infeed and outfeed rollers incorporate roller bearings for extended longevity. The sectional infeed roller and chip breaker are specifically engineered to facilitate the planing of multiple boards simultaneously. Adjustable bed rollers enable smooth feeding, whether dealing with rough or finished workpieces, while the solid steel outfeed roller, machined with small serrations, ensures a smooth finish and positive feeding. Operating with a two-speed gearbox that features machined detents, users can quickly switch between rough and finish work from the front of the machine. The robust, ribbed cast iron table is ground finished and rises smoothly via the hand wheel, supported by a powerful 7-1/2 horsepower motor, making the 201HH planer ideal for small to medium shops with ongoing planing demands.
