The 1300-pound heavy-duty cast iron planer features a rock-solid construction designed for accurate planing over years of use. It includes a hinged top for easy access to the rollers and knives, along with a 5" dust port that facilitates easy attachment to any dust collection system. The helical cutterhead is equipped with 150 four-sided knife inserts, offering a superior finish and quieter operation compared to traditional cutterheads; these inserts can be installed without further adjustments. For exceptional finishing, the planer incorporates anti-kickback fingers and a pressure bar positioned close to the cutterhead. The infeed and outfeed rollers are fitted with roller bearings for long life, while the sectional infeed roller and chip breaker allow for the planing of multiple boards simultaneously. Adjustable bed rollers enable smooth feeding of both rough and finished workpieces, and the solid steel outfeed roller is machined with small serrations to ensure a smooth finish. The two-speed gearbox features machined detents for quick changing between rough and finish work, and the massive ribbed cast iron table rises smoothly via a hand wheel, supported by two large lead screws for heavy-duty work. The 201HH planer is powered by a robust 7-1/2 horsepower motor, making it ideal for small to medium shops with ongoing planing needs. Standard equipment includes a dust collection port.
