The Powermatic® WP2510 planer features a solid steel helical cutterhead with four-sided carbide knife inserts that require no adjustments when changing, effectively reducing sound levels. It is equipped with a digital readout and a simple PC controller for quick and easy setup of table heights. The frame is machined from heavy cast iron and includes extra wide side panels that provide rigid bed support and ensure precise alignment. The segmented, serrated infeed roll with segmented chip breakers has an independent yield of 1/4, allowing for planing of multiple height stock. Its automatically adjusting chain drive gear box powers the 3-inch diameter infeed rollers, solid pressure bar, and dual outfeed rollers for precise feeding of stock. The WP2510 planer includes a 3-speed feed selector, enabling woodworkers to change feed rates swiftly, and features a large 32-3/16" x 26" precision-ground table with two adjustable table rollers for smooth feeding of uneven stock. Additionally, the planer is equipped with a quick-set micro-adjustable lever that easily raises and lowers the table rollers from 0 to 0.05", and the hood is designed with a built-in 5" diameter dust chute for efficient cleanup.
