The Microflow II workstation is designed for use as a Class 1 ductless hood workstation, featuring activated carbon filtration to handle fumes, odors, and non-hazardous chemical vapors, complemented by a pre-filter for particulate filtration. This self-contained unit includes a clear hood surround with a safety viewing sash that provides visibility from three sides and offers safety and access to the work area, with the sash adaptable for microscope use. The integral work surface is dished to contain spills, and the variable speed fan control ranges from a high speed of 100 FPM to a low speed for sensitive operations. The workstation operates on 115V AC / 60Hz or 230V AC / 50Hz, conforming to UL, CSA, and CE requirements. It includes a 6-ft. electrical cord that connects and disconnects at the left rear side and exits from the left side. The filter is easy to change, with recommendations for replacement every 60-90 days, depending on usage. Filter replacement occurs within the fume chamber for user safety. The workstation's dimensions of 18" wide x 24" deep x 20" high facilitate easy access with hands and forearms. Typical applications include general chemistry with small volumes of common chemicals, tissue staining and processing, gluing and drying operations, solvent cleaning of electronic parts, soldering fumes and odors, school demonstration workstations, and forensic application containment. Replacement carbon filters, available by special order, come in a pack of 2 (Part# 52004).
