The Uniflow CE Airstream fume hood comes with an explosion-proof light and features a unitized superstructure that includes a molded seamless fume chamber with coved corners. It is constructed from flame retardant, chemical resistant composite resin, utilizing a minimum number of metallic parts. The viewing sash is made from 3/16" clear tempered safety glass, while the frame and track are fabricated from chemical resistant PVC. The unit is equipped with a Varaflow baffle system that effectively directs air through the fume chamber, and the baffle can be easily removed for cleaning. Additionally, the hood includes an explosion-proof incandescent light fixture that is classified as Class I, Div II Group A, B, C & D and Class II Div II Group F & G, running on 115V/60Hz. The U.L. listed fixture is shipped installed but not wired, requiring field wiring to ensure compliance with codes. Optional explosion-proof switches, receptacles, and exhaust blowers are available for separate purchase. All electrical services in the system are U.L. and C.S.A. listed, and the hood is shipped completely assembled, necessitating a remotely located explosion-proof exhaust blower for operation.
